Be part of the leadership team of one of the fastest growing restaraunts in Bozeman! We are seeking a talented and passionate Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations, ensuring high-quality food production, and maintaining a positive and efficient work environment. This position is perfect for individuals with a strong background in food service management and a commitment to delivering exceptional dining experiences.
- Duties
- Assist the Head Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations, including food preparation and presentation.
- Be proficient in all line positions and be available to work the line during busy days.
- Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient workflow.
- Manage shift schedules and delegate tasks to ensure all aspects of food production are met.
- Maintain high standards of hygiene and sanitation throughout the kitchen.
- Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new menu items and improve existing recipes.
- Ensure that all food is prepared according to established recipes, portion sizes, and presentation standards.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
- Support catering efforts for special events or functions as required.
- Skills
- Proven experience in supervising kitchen staff and managing shifts effectively.
- Strong knowledge of food production techniques and best practices in a restaurant setting.
- Excellent food preparation skills with an eye for detail in presentation.
- Familiarity with hospitality principles and customer service excellence.
- Experience in food service management, including inventory control and supply ordering.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being capable of independent decision-making.
- Knowledge of catering services is a plus, particularly for special events or dietary department needs.
