Our Client is seeking a DSP / Residential Aide to provide support and instruction to persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities within a group home in the Woodmere area. To include Nassau County, Elmont, and Queens.

Compensation : Starting $17-$19 per hour

SUMMARY OF CLIENT'S DESCRIPTION OF THIS OPPORTUNITY

• Promote intellectual, emotional, and social growth.
• Ensure all activities are designed to foster growth to each individual's highest level of accomplishment.
• Ensure all care and services are delivered in a climate of normalization, care and concern.
• Assist Consumers with daily nutrition and their medications.
• Transport Consumers to appointments (as needed)

CLIENT'S REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Valid Driver's License

Ability to complete and pass mandated clearances

Minimum of a High School Diploma or its equivalent

Minimum of one (1) year experience working with the DDD population

Must have some experience.

Must be comfortable toileting.

Credentials Needed :

CPR

First Aid

SCIP (Strategies for Crisis Intervention and Prevention)

AMAP (Approved Medication Administration Personnel) not required but helpful.
