Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) 2025 / 2026 School Year

Location : Huntsville, Texas

Schedule : MondayFriday, 37.5 hours / week | Hybrid option available

Employment Type : W2 position with benefits and weekly pay

Pay Rate : $40 / hour

About the Role

We're seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) to join our school-based team for the 2025 / 2026 academic year. This role supports licensed Speech-Language Pathologists in delivering high-quality speech and language services to students. The SLPA will engage in clinical, educational, documentation, and treatment-related activities, all within the scope of care assigned by the supervising SLP and / or physician.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in implementing speech and language programs under the supervision of a licensed SLP
  • Support students in achieving communication goals in educational settings
  • Document student progress and maintain accurate records
  • Collaborate with educators, families, and other professionals
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to IEP development as needed

Minimum Requirements

  • Associate's degree from an SLPA program or Bachelor's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
  • Completion of at least 100 hours of supervised fieldwork or equivalent clinical experience
  • Current SLPA license or certification in the state of Texas
  • Familiarity with professional standards of practice
  • Preferred : One (1) year of prior SLPA experience
  • Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray (if applicable)
  • Current health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
