Shift :  Nights / 6p-6a, 12x3, 36hrs per week

Length : 13 Weeks

Weekend Requirement : 3 weekend shifts per 4 week schedule minimum

Call : one shift per 4 week schedule

Requirements :

AZ license

2-3+ years of experience required

C-section experience required

Must be proficient in fetal monitoring and the actions taken for fetal distress

Must be able to care for patients with pre-eclampsia

Nurses need to be very proficient with their assessment skills and be able to handle OB emergencies until the provider arrives

Must be able to function in L&D and couplet care (they don't always utilize their LDRPs as couplet care beds, but can do so if census is low)

ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring, BLS, NIHSS, NRP

Other Details :

Charting System :  Allscripts - Sunrise

Ratios typically 1 : 2

May float to ED or MS if experienced

May float to other units of hospital (usually MedSurg) if needed
