Software Engineer Associate Location : Tucson, AZ (hybrid) Duration : 1 year, extendable - This is a hybrid position. You will be required to be in the Tucson office Tuesday Thursday, and will be allowed to work remotely on Mondays and Fridays Job Summary : - Designs and develops staining procedures (you will be trained in this) in close partnership with assay development. - Develops software supplements that install staining procedures along with the underlying database elements required to the support staining procedure(s) in the software application. - Delivers projects on time in a fast paced environment. - Mentored on the use of software tools and editing staining procedures - Monitors work to ensure quality and continuously promote Quality First Time. MUST-HAVE Qualifications - 0-5 years of industry experience (biotech, pharma) - Experience with Programming - Strong leadership and organizational - Ability to plan project components and effectively report status to stakeholders. - Knowledge of creating software documentation for a medical device.(regulated industry) - Knowledge of software databases - Experience with scripting languages SQL-Lite is preferred, but other scripting languages will be accepted - Ability to create project documentation that is complete, consistent, and usable. - Strong written and verbal communication skills. - Knowledge of or familiarity with project management tools (such as Smart Sheets, MS Project, or Trello). - Ability to create / edit written procedures and document work accurately. - Ability to meet deadlines and deliver projects on time. - Information Security and Data Privacy fundamentals - Having a background in biology or chemistry would be helpful to understand the science involved with the process - Must have a 4 year degree preferably in Engineering (preferred), Biology, or Chemistry
