Pulmonary & Critical Care Opportunity in Coastal Texas

Practice Overview
- Academic Team Environment : Join a collaborative Pulmonary & Critical Care division with support from residents, fellows, and APPs in both the ICU and clinic
- Customize your clinical focus : choose from outpatient pulmonary, critical care-only, combined Pulm / CCM, or add sleep medicine if desired
- Closed ICU model : Manage 16-20-bed ICUs with multidisciplinary rounding, full subspecialty support, and telehealth consult access
- Leadership & Mentorship Opportunities : Get involved in program-building, education, and faculty development initiatives
Schedule
ICU rotation follows a 7-on / 7-off model with home call; shared across 6-8 intensivistsPulmonary clinic sessions are flexible : 1-4 per week, depending on academic or procedural focusNo Separate Clinic Call : Weekend call is embedded in ICU coverageOutpatient-only track available for those seeking reduced intensity or late-career transitionsCompensation & Benefits
Base salary of $340,000 with additional incentives starting in year 3 based on RVUsRegional campus rotation bonuses and procedural revenue are availableFull benefits package, including up to $8,500 in relocation support and retirement options through the state systemTwo-year salary guarantee with consistent bonus potential exceeding 20%Candidate Requirements
Board-certified or board-eligible in Pulmonary and Critical Care MedicineFellowship-trained in the U.S.; alternative pathways considered on a case-by-case basisComfortable teaching residents and fellows in both ICU and clinic settingsAdditional training in Sleep Medicine or POCUS is welcome but not requiredCommunity & Location Highlights
