Must-Have :

Candidates must have completed 2 to 3 travel assignments.

Candidates must have 2 to 3 years of Emergency Department experience.

Description :

This position involves working in a busy Emergency Department.

The unit is equipped with 27 beds and staffed with 50 RNs and 25 medics.

During the day shift, the team consists of 1 charge nurse, 5 RNs, and 2 to 3 medics.

Staffing increases by 4 to 5 RNs at 11 AM and by 1 to 2 RNs at 3 PM.

Night shift includes 1 charge nurse, 5 RNs, and 2 to 3 medics.

Patient ratios are typically 4 to 6 : 1.

The unit utilizes EMR with Meditech.

Candidates with high acuity ER experience and those accustomed to fast-paced environments will be prioritized.

Experience with patient ratios of 5 : 1 is preferred.

Common procedures include RSI, sepsis interventions, and stroke protocol with tPA administration.

Central line placement and care of psych patients are also performed.

Transfers to other facilities will be required as per EMTALA guidelines.

A relaxed, easy-going, friendly, team-oriented, and respectful personality is essential for the ideal candidate.

There is no on-call requirement for this position.

Weekend shifts will consist of four weekend shifts (Friday or Saturday for nights; Saturday or Sunday for days) within a four-week scheduling period.
