As part of Allied Universal's dedicated team supporting a key government location, you will serve in an armed patrol capacity. Your role involves conducting routine patrols, maintaining a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and interacting with the public to provide outstanding customer service and communication. Position Type : Part Time

Pay Rate : $31.83 / Hour

Job Schedule : DayTimeTue02 : 00 PM - 12 : 00 AMThur05 : 00 AM - 03 : 00 PM

What You'll Do :

Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

Carry out security-related procedures and site-specific policies as outlined by Allied Universal for government locations.

Provide professional customer service to staff, visitors, and the public while maintaining a visible presence.

Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the assigned location, including building interiors, exteriors, and perimeter areas.

Respond promptly and calmly to incidents and critical situations, utilizing problem-solving skills to address security-related concerns and / or emergencies.

Observe and report any unusual activity, security-related incidents, or potential hazards in accordance with Allied Universal protocols.

Work collaboratively with law enforcement agencies and emergency responders when required.

Support access control measures, monitor entry and exit points, and verify credentials as appropriate for the location.

Maintain accurate and timely documentation of incidents, patrols, and other security-related activities.

What We're Looking For :

Availability across various days and shifts

Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments

A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company

Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available

Minimum Requirements :

Must be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.

Must possess an armed guard card or license as required by applicable laws and regulations.

Handcuffing certification is preferred.

Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and / or baton is preferred.

CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Participate in industry-specific security training programs.

Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
