Astranis designs, builds, and operates satellites from its headquarters in Northern California, USA, serving trusted customers with secure networks and customized solutions. The company is backed by investors and has a growing backlog of commercial contracts.

Responsibilities

  • Design kW-level power systems for our satellites
  • Manage and control key components such as solar panel arrays, power regulation and distribution, and high-density batteries
  • Integrate power systems into the spacecraft by collaborating with other teams
  • Engage in simulations, schematic, layout, and hands-on board bring-up, debugging, and optimization

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
  • 0-6 years of experience
  • Passion for hardware development in fast-paced environments with hands-on design
  • Experience in designing, building, and testing analog and digital circuits
  • Power electronics experience
  • PCB design experience
  • Bonus

  • Experience with fault-tolerant design for radiation environments
  • Experience with photovoltaics
  • Experience with Li-ion batteries and management systems
  • Experience with magnetics in power electronics
  • EMI / EMC experience
  • What we offer

    All positions offer a compensation package that includes equity and robust benefits. Base pay is a component of Astranis’ total rewards package and may include equity, healthcare, disability and life insurance, flexible PTO, 401(k), and on-site meals. Base salary range : $110,000—$140,000 USD .
