Location : Remote (US-based)

Overview :

We are seeking an experienced IT Manager to lead the strategic direction, policy setting, and governance of our IT infrastructure and security environment. This role will assess current systems, tools, and processes, and recommend future-state technologies that best align with organizational goals. The IT Manager will collaborate with leadership, external partners, and technical teams to ensure the environment is secure, scalable, and efficient.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Policy & Strategy Leadership – Define and implement IT policies, standards, and security strategies across cloud, identity, and endpoint environments.
  • Technology Assessment – Continuously evaluate current solutions (e.g., Microsoft 365, Azure, Intune, Defender, Purview, IAM tools) against industry best practices, making recommendations for optimization or replacement.
  • Governance & Compliance – Oversee governance models to maintain compliance with regulatory requirements (GDPR, SOX, HIPAA, etc.) and enforce a Zero Trust security framework.
  • Vendor & Tool Management – Review and manage vendor relationships, ensuring cost-effective and secure solutions are in place.
  • Team Guidance & Development – Provide leadership to IT staff, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability.
  • Project Oversight – Direct major IT initiatives including migrations, cloud adoption, identity modernization, and endpoint standardization.
  • Business Partnership – Act as a strategic advisor to executive leadership, ensuring IT investments and initiatives align with organizational priorities.
  • Innovation & Roadmapping – Keep current on emerging technologies (e.g., AI / ML in security and analytics) and develop a roadmap to guide adoption where it provides measurable value.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • 7–10+ years in IT leadership roles, with strong experience in Microsoft 365 / Azure ecosystems.
  • Deep knowledge of security frameworks (Zero Trust, IAM, compliance standards).
  • Proven ability to assess and optimize technology stacks.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and vendor management skills.
  • Certifications such as Microsoft Certified : Enterprise Administrator Expert, Azure Solutions Architect, or CISSP preferred.
