- 10+ years in marketing with media planning / account management experience
- 3+ years leadership experience managing cross-functional teams
- Bachelor’s degree in advertising, marketing, or related field
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and project management systems
Job Summary
The Senior Manager, Media Strategy and Planning leads the Media Strategy team, partnering with senior Marketing leaders to develop strategic media-supported initiatives. The role leverages consumer / market insights and key partnerships to drive impactful business outcomes.
Responsibilities
Lead a media planning team, overseeing ideation, negotiation, and alignment of media platformsManage annual and quarterly planning, including strategic briefs, go-to-market docs, and media updatesOversee Brand Media and Media Operations budgets, including planning, scenario modeling, and reportingPartner with Media Investment / Activation Director to manage agency relationships and contractsDevelop internal and external best practices for workflow, media plans, deliverables, and reportingCollaborate with research teams to optimize audience segmentation and High Value Audiences (HVAs)Drive cross-functional collaboration and serve as media strategy liaison to Finance, Research, Marketing Ops, Analytics, Multicultural, and Business Development teamsSet team objectives and OKRs, mentor staff, and develop career pathsBuild strong internal / external relationships, including agency partners and the media communityKey Attributes
Agile, flexible, and able to balance multiple internal and external prioritiesStrong leadership presence and cross-functional collaboration skillsAbility to translate business objectives into effective media strategiesExperience in both agency and client-side environments preferredBackground check required (typically requires approx. 2-week onboarding period following an offer acceptance)
