Our primary technology, supporting our ATARS product, enables pilots to simulate the cognitive challenges of flying while accessing realistic, scalable training in dynamic outdoor environments.

The Role

As a 3D Artist at Red 6, you will take a critical role in developing 3D assets for next-generation AR / VR and mixed reality systems. You will be responsible for the creation of realistic 3D models and environments within a military setting or theme. To achieve that mission, you will be involved in developing 3D assets and real-time 3D visualization models as well as promotional rendered materials.

Key Responsibilities

• Proficiency using Autodesk 3DS Max, Maya, Blender, or similar 3D package
• The ability to demonstrate realistic modeling, texture creation, surface shaders, and materials
• 3D model creation experience for virtual simulations / game assets or similar
• Advanced skills with hard-surface 3D modeling
• UVW unwrapping and texturing skills
• PBR texturing and rendering, within Unreal preferred
• Texture optimization
• Proficiency using Adobe Photoshop and Substance Painter
• Ability to collaborate and communicate with other team members
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Attention to specifications of target hardware platforms
• The ability to take direction and feedback from team leaders
• Good written and communication skills
• Skills in documenting and creating asset pipeline guides
