Peak Power & Compression is hiring for the position of CNC Machinist.
The CNC Machinist candidate will be required to perform skilled tasks in the manufacture of industrial engine parts while following all safety protocols and established workplace policies.
Peak Power & Compression is a small engineering and manufacturing concern located in Longmont, Colorado. Our Longmont facility includes state of the art CNC machining, robotic welding, robotic and vision load-unload systems, Mechanical engineering, Manufacturing engineering, Process engineering design, Casting design, Component design and modeling. We manufacture our own line of industrial parts and assemblies for the natural gas compression industry.
Job Description & Duties.
Full time, Permanent.
Ability to work well with others in a team environment.
Ability to read and interpret complex parts and or assembly drawings without assistance.
Ability to program and set up complex parts on CNC mills and or lathes without assistance.
Attention to detail and maintaining a clean and organized work site is a must.
Lubricate, clean, maintain and repair machinery, equipment, and tools.
Knowledge of best machining practices.
Knowledge of tool and tooling selection.
Experience in the use of Cad-Cam systems.
Requirements.
High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
Minimum 7 years of experience as a machinist including at least 5 years in programming and set up of CNC mills and or lathes.
Effective verbal and listening communications skills.
Ability to lift and manipulate objects of up to 50 lbs.
Ability to work independently and complete daily activities according to work schedule.
Commitment to quality and safety.
Additional experience a plus.
Aptitude or experience in the following areas will be considered an asset, but we are willing to train the right candidate.
Advanced degree in Engineering.
Completion of Technical School or other post secondary education in machining or manufacturing.
Programing of Fanuc CNC controls in CNC mill and or lathe environment.
Expertise and or experience with SolidWorks.
Expertise or experience with Zeiss CMM programming and use.
Expertise or experience in CamWorks.
Expertise or experience in programming and set up of Fanuc industrial robots.
Knowledge or experience in metallurgy.
Knowledge or experience in manufacturing process.
Knowledge or experience in tool and tooling selection.
Knowledge of workplace safety and safe lifting and handling procedures.
Pay :
This position is hourly and ranges between $25-$35 per hour depending on experience.

Work Schedule Monday Thru Friday, 40 hours per week with occasional overtime.
