Launch Engineer II (Rocket Transport)

Location : Cape Canaveral, FL

Clearance Required : Must pass US Gov background check for on-site access

The Opportunity

Join a pioneering launch team operating at the intersection of rocket stages, ground systems, payloads, and infrastructure. This is a rare chance to be hands-on with launch operations, transportation systems, and hardware that supports the full lifecycle of a next-gen launch vehicle—from first flight through reuse and high-cadence operations.

This team leads engineering for transporting first and second stages, offshore vessel logistics, and mobile ground support equipment. You'll work side-by-side with vehicle design, launch site ops, and refurbishment teams to define processes that haven't been built before.

What You'll Be Doing :

• Design and develop mobile transport systems, fixed ground support equipment, and offshore support hardware
• Own the engineering, fabrication, and implementation of all critical transportation infrastructure
• Lead supplier relationships, compliance efforts, and safety processes
• Support launch and landing systems development, and contribute to broader infrastructure initiatives
• Create and track metrics around system performance and cost-effectiveness
• Work in dynamic, hands-on environments—including time spent on vessels, at launch pads, and across multiple US sites
