We care for under 16 weeks high risk patients too on our high risk maternity unit. The Birthing Care Unit has an obstetrical triage unit to allow for screening of patients prior to admission and to perform routine outpatient procedures such as antenatal fetal surveillance, intravenous hydration, and medication administration. Scheduled and unscheduled Cesarean Births and rescue cervical cerclage are performed.SPECIAL PROCEDURES / UNIT DETAILS :Unit VERY FAST PACED, busier and higher acuity than might be normally expected. May not be realistic for nurses to take 48hr contracts on this unit due to how busy it is. Double labor assignments are a daily occurrence on the UnitSpecial Equipment : - #Tier2 Crisis Response Compliance Candidate must go into the lab within 48 hours after signing. All testing must be completed within 48 hours. Submission Process : All units are utilizing Clinical for direct profile review Submission Details : Any previous PERM / PRN / EP staff employee of Novant Health or New Hanover must wait 12 months before applying as a traveler. Please note in the submission packet if your candidate previously worked here, the hospital name and dates of employment. Facility rehire approval is needed. We cannot proceed with any offer until rehire approval is obtained. Failure to disclose this information will negatively impact your candidate and may result in a cancel. Novant runs their own check on each traveler upon hiring, so we need to notify them beforehand. Current travel Per Diem clinicians at Novant Health or New Hanover are ineligible for travel assignments. Working both simultaneously is not accepted. Clinicians must select either travel Per Diem or a Travel Contract. Please indicate in the submission packet if your candidate is currently in a travel Per Diem role at this Health system and if they wish to transition to a Travel Contract.
