Otolaryngology Physician

This South Georgia community hospital, a JCAHO accredited facility, is seeking a board certified / board eligible Otolaryngologist to join a thriving ENT practice whose current physician is retiring soon. This physician will receive a competitive salary based on national salary guidelines with, full employee benefits. Practice highlights include : Typical work week : 4 days in clinic and one day in the OR, but expect this to change as the surgical volume grows. Average patient volume per day : 15-20 Surgical cases per day / week : about 14-20 per month. Services provided : Basic general ENT surgeries Call Coverage : Call back in very rare. The call requirement for the contract would be 10 days / month. How much competition is in the local area? FOR ENT services, none, there is an allergy / immunology practice that uses the MOB shared satellite office 1 day / week. Physician compensation is based on skills offered, new vs. existing physician, but based on fair market value and commercially reasonable methodology. We usually offer 18 months guarantee. Use w / RVU format, salary and rate paid / w / RVU to set the w / RVU threshold. Within the first 18 months, if the physician exceeds the w / RVU threshold (on an annual basis), they would receive a bonus (for excess above threshold x $ conversion factor). Educational loan repayment? We offer significant loan repayment and require the physician to work the loan out in terms of years of service. For example, If we pay a loan repayment of $100K and it s a 5 year contract, we will pay up to $20K per year. Signing bonus. Usually $20-40K, depends on entire contract Relocation reimbursement. Up to $8-12K There may also be a retention bonus. Practice site has adequate space to treat usual and typical ENT cases. Hospital is looking for a practice builder to take the ENT practice to a more surgical based practice. Benefits Vacation time : Vacation / sick time is combined and is 20 days per year.
