Job Description & Requirements Specialty : OR - Operating Room Discipline : RN Start Date : 10 / 27 / 2025 Duration : 13 weeks 40 hours per week Shift : 8 hours, days Employment Type : Local Contract Job Title : Registered Nurse (RN) Supervisor – Operating Room (OR) | Full-Time, Days Shift : Days (Monday to Friday, 6 : 00 AM – 2 : 30 PM) Hours : 8-hour shifts | No weekends or holidays Position Type : Permanent / Direct Hire Rate Range : $40.00 – $55.00 per hour Key Responsibilities : Supervise daily operations and ensure effective patient care delivery in the OR. Coordinate staffing, delegate responsibilities, and adjust assignments based on continuity and skill level. Collaborate with leadership and educators to implement training, in-services, and orientation programs. Evaluate team member performance and provide coaching and feedback. Serve as the go-to resource for physicians, staff, and temporary personnel assigned to the unit. Address patient complaints and operational challenges in real time. Maintain clinical excellence and compliance with safety standards. Education : Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required or currently enrolled with completion expected within 2 years of hire. Master’s degree in nursing or a related field preferred. Experience : Minimum of 3 years of Operating Room experience as an RN. Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred. Demonstrated teaching or preceptor experience is a plus. Licenses / Certifications : Active RN license in the state of Iowa or eligibility as per Iowa Board of Nursing. Certified Nurse – Operating Room (CNOR) required within 1 year of hire. BLS required.
