Job Summary :

A facility in Oneida, NY is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to provide specialized care for residents on the Vent Unit at their Rehabilitation and Extended Care Facility. This RN will work under the direct supervision of the Unit Manager or Nursing Supervisor and the Physician, delivering high-quality, resident-centered care while overseeing the daily activities of CNAs and Ward Clerks on the unit.

Key Responsibilities :

Coordinate and provide nursing care for ventilator-dependent residents

Administer medications, treatments, and perform nursing procedures as per resident care plans

Maintain accurate documentation in MAR, TAR, and care plans

Oversee and support CNAs and Ward Clerks in daily care activities

Make independent clinical decisions while maintaining communication with supervising RN

Ensure resident safety, comfort, and compliance with facility protocols

Requirements :

2+ years RN experience, preferably in LTC or ventilator care – Required

NYS RN License – Required

BLS – Required

Experience in ventilator care and critical thinking for high-acuity residents

Ability to work independently while collaborating with the care team
