Slitter Operator

Small print shop located in Flat Rock, NC is seeking a Slitter Operator to join their team!

Monday-Thursday 6am-3pm & Friday 6am-10am

$18 / hr. For first 90-days

Slitter / Finishing Operator - Requirements

1. Sets up and operates Slitter to finish printed and non-printed designs to specifications.

2. Identify per job ticket the finishing specifications.

3. Inspect all finished materials to insure it is free of any defects

4. Package finished work to specifications to insure it remains free of any defects and contamination.

5. Maintains slitter cleanliness and general work area.

6. Insures that all safety precautions are being met and is constantly aware of the various moving parts on the slitter that could cause serious injury if not operated with a safety conscious attitude.

7. Repeats all of the above steps until each work order is complete.

8. Completes all tasks with the minimum of set up and waste.

9. Cleans all affected areas of the slitter with each work order.

10. Repeats all steps throughout the production shift.

10. Lift Truck Driver Experience Preferred

General :

1. The Slitter / Finisher operator position is a very physical position requiring heavy lifting and movement of material and tooling. This position also requires a very high level of accuracy and precision. (Must be able to lift 50-75 lbs.)

2. All PLI employees are cross trained on all presses and finishing equipment and will be assigned to different tasks as required.

3. Must have High School or Equivalent Education
