Staff Accountant

We are looking for a skilled Staff Accountant to join our team on a contract basis in Cleveland, Ohio. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a family-owned business by managing key financial operations. The ideal candidate will have experience in corporate accounting and a strong grasp of financial processes, including general ledger management and account reconciliations.

Responsibilities :

• Perform monthly account reconciliations to ensure accurate financial records.
• Manage month-end closing processes, including preparing and reviewing journal entries.
• Oversee the general ledger and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
• Prepare financial statements and reports for management review.
• Handle payroll and benefits administration for approximately 42 employees.
• File sales tax and ensure adherence to tax regulations.
• Supervise accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
• Maintain and manage the company's general insurance policies.
• Utilize SysPro software to streamline accounting processes and maintain accurate data.
• Collaborate with team members to uphold a positive and cohesive work environment.
