Position Summary
Under the supervision of the General Manager, the Quality Control Technician plays a key role in ensuring product quality and customer satisfaction. This position is responsible for inspecting and receiving incoming parts and materials, performing in-process and final inspections, and coordinating the calibration of certified measuring equipment.
Candidates should have experience operating within an ISO-certified environment, with a strong understanding of quality standards and procedures.

Inspecting welds to ensure structural integrity and compliance with specificationsFamiliarity with sheet metal fabrication processesExperience working in a job shop manufacturing environment , where adaptability and attention to detail are essentialThis is a hands-on position that demands precision, consistency, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
Duties & Responsibilities

Interpret detailed blueprints, work orders, engineering specifications, and routing sheets to determine production standards and tolerance limitsTroubleshoot print and bill of materials problems in cooperation with Engineering and production staffRecommend methods of assembly, welding, and productionPerform inspection on first piece, in process, purchased part, finished material, and products, ensuring conformance to specificationsTest finished products for paint quality and thickness, welding quality, dimensions, fit, blast profile, and appearancePerform standard inspection tests including air testing welds, and magna-flux testingRoute product for re-workComplete all required records and paperwork including, but not limited to, inspection reports, damage reports, return reports, and re-work ordersProcess purchase damage numbers when incorrect material is receivedEnsure finished product is packaged and loaded correctly to minimize possible damage during transportationAnalyze inspection results and assist in addressing and resolving production problems causing deviations from existing standardCommunicate with plant supervision noted deviations of tolerances and qualityRecommend modifications of existing quality or production standards to achieve optimum quality within limits of equipment capabilityMake recommendations regarding safe working methodsFollow all clean-up and housekeeping proceduresComply with all safety and sanitation regulationsRequirements :
High school diploma or GED equivalentExperience working in an ISO-certified manufacturing environmentStrong understanding of sheet metal fabrication and job shop operationsFamiliarity with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing)Ability to inspect welds and fabricated parts for quality complianceAbility to perform well in a team environmentSelf-motivator and must be flexible to accommodate needs of your teamAbility to read, analyze, and interpret complex documents such as blueprints, routings, work orders, engineering specifications and safety regulationsAbility to write routine reports and documentationAbility to effectively present information to customers and other employees of the organization
