CDM is looking for a Benefits Support Specialist to join our team. This role is responsible for supporting the company's employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, wellness initiatives, and other employee perks. The role involves ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations, assisting employees with benefits-related inquiries, and collaborating closely with HR, payroll, and external vendors to ensure smooth benefits operations.

Responsibilities

  • Administer daily benefits programs including health, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, and retirement plans.
  • Conduct benefits orientations and provide ongoing education about available benefits.
  • Maintain accurate benefits records and ensure data integrity in benefits systems.
  • Assist employees with health, dental, life, and other related benefits in a concierge manner.
  • Support compliance with federal, state, and local regulations such as ACA, COBRA, HIPAA, and ERISA.
  • Prepare and organize meetings to help employees understand company benefits and incentive programs.
  • Audit and reconcile all enrollments, terminations, and benefit invoices monthly.
  • Research and suggest enhancements to benefit offerings based on employee needs and industry trends.
  • Support the annual open enrollment process, including employee communication and system updates.
  • Provide ongoing, proactive employee benefits education.
  • Attend and participate in required company training programs.
  • Participate in various committees as assigned.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrate core competencies of the position and company values.
  • Live out the company's Mission, Purpose, and Values intentionally.

Qualifications

  • At least 2 years of experience in benefits administration, with 401(k) experience required.
  • Knowledge of federal and state benefits regulations.
  • Experience with benefits administration systems for multi-state employers.
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and confidentiality.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
