Job Summary
We are seeking a highly qualified Position Navigation and Timing (PNT) Special Staff Officer (SSO) to serve as Key Personnel supporting the Army's PNT program. This role involves managing efforts related to mounted, dismounted, and alternative navigation technologies and software , and requires operational familiarity with Mission Command Transport Applications . The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Force Development , navigation systems, and senior-level Army operations.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage Army PNT program initiatives, including mounted / dismounted and alternative navigation technologies
- Provide strategic analysis and support for PNT-related decision forums and briefings
- Integrate PNT equities into Army Senior Leader and Modernization Enterprise forums
- Collaborate with Army, Joint, and OSD staffs to develop strategic-level products
- Support Mission Command Transport Applications and capabilities
- Assist in the development of budget justification documents and strategic communication plans
- Maintain and update leadership smart books and integrated strategic products
- Conduct quality control of leadership reviews and PNT-related portfolio briefings
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or higher in Business or EngineeringMinimum of 4 years of experience in Force Development or related dutiesExperience at senior Army levels such as HQDA, MACOMs, or Army Service Component CommandsTS / SCI clearance is mandatoryFoundational operational experience with Mission Command Transport ApplicationsPreferred Skills & Expertise
Interdisciplinary knowledge of :Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE)
DoD acquisition processes (DoDI 5000.2)Materiel and force structure requirements development and validation (JCIDS)Experience applying force development across DOTMLPF-P domains in fiscally constrained environmentsProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)Highly Desirable Certifications & Training
