The Physician Assistant is a licensed professional provider who functions in collaboration with an attending physician in a variety of practice settings at YNHHS. Provides exceptional direct diagnostic and therapeutic patient care to the highest standards of the organization as part of a multidisciplinary team. Cultivates a patient centric environment which focuses on the whole individual inclusive of physical, psychosocial, spiritual and functional needs of the patient, family, and significant others. Serves as the focal professional for the continuity of care in patient care within scope of practice standards, as well as specialty specific standards to address and resolve problems that may arise.

POSITION DETAILS
This subspecialty surgery position (ENT, Urology, GYN, Plastic Surgery, and Robotic Surgery) will cover Bridgeport and Milford Hospitals.
Schedule : Full-time, Monday to Friday with slightly variable hours : 7 : 00-3 : 30 at Bridgeport and 8 : 30-5 : 00 at Milford. Occasional weekday evening and weekend calls.
PROCEDURES
Significant operative responsibility. Looking for someone with OR first assisting experience; additional training in robotics is a plus.
EDUCATION
Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant Program.
EXPERIENCE
Clinical working experience as a PA within the given specialty / service line. APRNs, PAs, CRNAs and CNMs are required to be appointed to the Affiliated Medical Staff of a YNHHS Hospital and credentialed through the Medical Staff process. Evidence of current competence to practice as {an APRN, PA, CRNA, CNM} via appropriate reference letters from physicians and other practitioners must be able to be obtained during the Medical Staff appointment process in order to be eligible.
