The Opportunity :

CCI is seeking talented Senior Paralegal professionals to support the US Attorney's Office (USAO) mission. These roles involve high-profile cases, focusing on litigation support in preparation for trial. We aim to expand responsibilities for capable candidates and support career growth through tuition reimbursement for certifications like Relativity, ACEDS, and Paralegal Certificates. Responsibilities :

• Prepare complex legal documents, review incoming materials, and assist in drafting indictments, warrants, motions, orders, plea agreements, subpoenas, and legal memoranda with limited instructions.
• Gather information from case files and law enforcement to ensure documents conform to court rules and standards.
• Assist attorneys in trial preparation, including organizing exhibits, witness notebooks, and jury instructions, and coordinating with victim / witness specialists.
• Verify legal citations using Westlaw or Lexis / Nexis, proofread documents, and file electronically via CM / ECF.
• Develop tables of contents, cite cases, and prepare legal correspondence.
• Manage discovery databases, including uploading, redacting, and linking case materials, and produce discovery as directed.
• Maintain electronic case files, manage deadlines, and prepare case closing files.
• Assist with hearing preparations, docketing, and case status analysis.
• Respond to inquiries and support office operations.

Qualifications :

Paralegal certification, JD, or law school attendance with at least one year of legal study, or equivalent experience. Minimum of two years litigation paralegal experience, including one year with eDiscovery tools. Knowledge of federal and state courts, legal research, and proficiency in tools like Westlaw and Lexis. Strong communication skills and computer proficiency are essential. U.S. citizenship and DOJ MBI clearance are required.

Pay Range :

This role is covered by the Service Contract Labor Standards (SCA). The minimum hourly wage is $25.53 . Compensation varies based on location, experience, skills, education, and certifications. We offer comprehensive benefits including healthcare, wellness, retirement, education, and time off.
