Job Title : Soldering Technician

Job Description

As a Soldering Technician, you will be responsible for soldering components on gas analyzer equipment. The work involves handling very small components, some of which require the use of a magnifying glass. You will follow work instructions and wiring diagrams to ensure correct wire placement. The role requires proficiency in both Surface Mount and Through Hole soldering on boards. Candidates will be required to pass a soldering test that includes a through hole test and a surface mount test. This is a contract position expected to last approximately three months.

Responsibilities

• Solder components on gas analyzer equipment using Surface Mount and Through Hole techniques.
• Use work instructions and wiring diagrams to ensure accurate placement of wires.
• Operate with precision on very small components, sometimes requiring a magnifying glass.
• Complete testing of products using multimeters and oscilloscopes.

Work Environment

The work environment includes a schedule of 4-10 hour shifts on the first shift, typically Monday to Thursday from 7 AM to 5 : 30 PM, with frequent overtime on Fridays and Saturdays. The facility is air-conditioned, and you will work at a desk in a seated position.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Houston, Texas.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00 / hr.
