Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and licensed Senior Electrical Engineer / Designer – Senior Project Manager to lead complex electrical engineering projects from concept through completion. This role involves managing multifaceted residential and commercial projects, overseeing system design, mentoring technical teams, and ensuring high-quality project delivery. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise in electrical and ICAT systems, strong leadership in project management, and a proven ability to coordinate across disciplines. Success in this position requires exceptional communication, creative problem-solving, and the ability to guide projects through every phase, from design to construction.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee Electrical engineering projects of various sizes and complexity for residential and commercial projects
- Prepare the concept design and complete load calculations, schematics, equipment selection and system concept report
- Design Electrical systems including but not limited to electrical distribution, transfer switching, UPS, grounding and bonding, lighting and control systems, life safety and emergency systems, and fire alarm.
- Design for ICAT services including but not limited to communication systems, AV systems, security access and monitoring systems, equipment, and structured cabling.
- Write construction specifications
- Analyze customer design proposals and specifications to determine cost effective solutions
- Ensure professional quality services in all facets of work
- Coach and mentor a project team to ensure technical accuracy of project deliverables
- Manage a team to ensure cost effective, safe, and timely completion of projects to meet or exceed client expectations
- Manage project activities throughout lifecycle, including the allocation of adequate resources, documentation, and other factors necessary for success
- Work with clients to deliver the end project
- Prepare and review specification and concept reports
- Provide mentoring to technical staff, assigning duties as required
- Visit the site once under construction when required
- Provide quality and cost control during the design and construction process
- Maintain project schedules and project cost summaries to track work progress, budget status, and manpower resource utilization
- Escalate and identify the need for additional services and fees
- Assist with Shop drawing reviews as required
- Overtime as required
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
