Commercial Real Estate Paralegal
The Taft law firm is searching for a Commercial Real Estate Paralegal for our Washington DC office (currently operating as Morris, Manning & Martin). This position will support partners and associates in all aspects of commercial real estate transactions. The ideal candidate will meet the following criteria :
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Paralegal certificate preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of commercial real estate experience, preferably in a law firm environment
- Strong work ethic
- Sound judgment, decision-making and reasoning abilities
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in MS Word and Excel
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Responsibilities
Coordination and review of title and survey and managing proforma and policy termsDue diligence managementAbstracting contractsPreparing checklist of critical dates and contract termsDrafting contract amendments and ancillary documentsDrafting acquisition / sale documents and closing statementPreparation of title rejection lettersCoordinating all aspects of the transaction closingClosing binder preparationThe Firm offers a very competitive salary and benefits package, including medical, dental, 401K and PTO. A background check is required. The salary range for this position is $90,000-115,000 / year. Actual compensation offer to candidate may vary from posted information based on work experience, education, and / or skill level.
