Education & Experience :
- Bachelor's Degree in a mechanical discipline from an accredited college or university required.
- 1-3 years of experience with basic understanding of engineering / design, preferably in architectural, structural, or mechanical design environment.
- Basic knowledge of physics and motion dynamics of elevator components.
- Ability to interpret project requirements and produce designs according to specifications.
- Consider manufacturability and assembly issues to avoid rework.
- Knowledge of drafting concepts, practices, and procedures.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Minor experience with 2D drafting (AutoCAD) preferred.
- Basic understanding of 3D modeling programs preferred.
- Ability to follow instructions, product designs, and specifications with guidance.
- Teamwork skills to meet individual production schedules.

TK Elevator is seeking an experienced System Engineer- Manufacturing I in Germantown, TN
Design mechanical elevator system layouts for Engineer-to-Order value stream based on pre-engineered products to meet customer specifications. Use building drawings, job specifications, and engineering documents to create layout drawings with 2D and 3D drafting systems. Participate in cross-functional teams to improve efficiency, quality, and processes.
Essential Job Functions :
Design pre-engineered elevator system layouts based on product-specific mechanical and electrical requirements using 2D and 3D software.Process layout submittals based on daily production schedules to meet KPIs with team support.Review engineering documents and designs for accuracy and compliance with quality standards.Participate in departmental meetings, problem-solving activities, and special projects.Product lines include Evolution 100 / 200, Endura, and Synergy 300E.This is a safety-sensitive position.
