Education & Experience :

  • Bachelor's Degree in a mechanical discipline from an accredited college or university required.
  • 1-3 years of experience with basic understanding of engineering / design, preferably in architectural, structural, or mechanical design environment.
  • Basic knowledge of physics and motion dynamics of elevator components.
  • Ability to interpret project requirements and produce designs according to specifications.
  • Consider manufacturability and assembly issues to avoid rework.
  • Knowledge of drafting concepts, practices, and procedures.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Minor experience with 2D drafting (AutoCAD) preferred.
  • Basic understanding of 3D modeling programs preferred.
  • Ability to follow instructions, product designs, and specifications with guidance.
  • Teamwork skills to meet individual production schedules.

TK Elevator is seeking an experienced System Engineer- Manufacturing I in Germantown, TN

Design mechanical elevator system layouts for Engineer-to-Order value stream based on pre-engineered products to meet customer specifications. Use building drawings, job specifications, and engineering documents to create layout drawings with 2D and 3D drafting systems. Participate in cross-functional teams to improve efficiency, quality, and processes.

Essential Job Functions :

  • Design pre-engineered elevator system layouts based on product-specific mechanical and electrical requirements using 2D and 3D software.
  • Process layout submittals based on daily production schedules to meet KPIs with team support.
  • Review engineering documents and designs for accuracy and compliance with quality standards.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, problem-solving activities, and special projects.
  • Product lines include Evolution 100 / 200, Endura, and Synergy 300E.

    • This is a safety-sensitive position.
