UCLA Extension is considered one of the top programs of its kind, offering to more than 35,000 students per year approximately 4,500 classes and non-degree certificate programs to meet the professional development, continuing education, and personal enrichment needs of the full spectrum of nontraditional students as well as companies and organizations throughout and beyond the Los Angeles region.

Course / Program Description

UCLA Extension's ABA-Approved Paralegal Training Program (PTP) has trained individuals to become paralegals for over 50 years. Instructors include attorneys, paralegals, judges, legal technology experts, and other legal professionals. The program seeks to prepare students to function as ethical, effective and efficient professional paralegals in law firms, businesses, government and nonprofit organizations; to perform a wide variety of legal work under the supervision of attorneys; and to adapt easily to changing roles.

Job Description

We are seeking experienced legal professionals to join our program as contract, part-time instructors for our daytime and evening programs in the following areas :

• Legal Research, Analysis, and Writing
• Real Estate / Real Property Law
• Legal Technology
• Civil Procedure / Civil Litigation
• Contracts
• Torts & Personal Injury
• Criminal Law & Procedure
• Business Organizations & Securities
• The Paralegal Profession

Courses are taught live online from 9 : 00am to 12 : 30pm (daytime program) or 6 : 30 to 10pm (evening program).
