Responsibilities
- Present WiFi technology and product roadmap to customers and guide them during product definition
- Participate in hardware design choices and collaborate on RF front-end architecture, antenna design, embedded firmware, and drivers
- Define test strategy, run tests, analyze results, and troubleshoot complex issues with teams and chipset manufacturers
- Ensure regulatory compliance (FCC) and Wi-Fi Alliance certification
- Participate in IEEE 802.11 standards and Wi-Fi Alliance task groups
- Follow chip-maker roadmaps, conduct training, maintain knowledge databases, and mentor junior engineers
Qualifications
B.S. / M.S. in Electrical or Computer Engineering10+ years in WiFi AP design, development, or optimizationExpert in IEEE 802.11ax / 802.11be, MIMO, OFDMA, WPA2 / 3, DFS, TWT, BSS ColoringLAN protocols : EAP, RADIUS, IPv4 / v6, DHCP, ARP, ICMP, NAT, DNSHands-on with wireless SoCs (Qualcomm, Broadcom, MediaTek)Embedded programming : C / C++, Python, shell; Linux WiFi tools (hostapd, wpa_supplicant, iwconfig)Skilled in WiFi test / debug tools and equipment; regulatory and certification knowledge (FCC, CE, WFA)RF basics : antenna design, calibration, filtering, FEM, PSDImplement / validate WPA3, 802.1X, RADIUS, EAP, Fast BSS TransitionWork effectively with distributed international teams
