A company is looking for a Senior Counsel (Claims & Escalations) to provide legal guidance on employment law and manage claims and risks.
Key Responsibilities
Provide legal advice on employment law issues, focusing on the United States
Manage employment-related claims and liaise with outside counsel as necessary
Create accessible resources and conduct training for internal partners on employment law matters
Core Requirements
Juris Doctorate and admission to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
At least 5+ years of experience in U.S. employment law, preferably with both law firm and in-house experience
Deep expertise in U.S. employment law and experience with multi-jurisdictional issues
Understanding of the Employer of Record (EOR) model and its legal challenges
Experience in drafting employment agreements and handling employment terminations and claims
