RF Manufacturing Engineer III

Overview

The RF Manufacturing Engineer III develops and implements advanced manufacturing methods, working closely with the engineering and production teams on product design, for the development of cutting-edge RF devices. Primary emphasis on design of hybrid microcircuits, including chip and wire assembly and die packaging. Interview Immediately!

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement manufacturing processes related to the development of advanced RF equipment.
• Strong focus on manufacturing areas such as die bonding, wire bonding, gap welding, eutectic die attach, ceramic and soft substrate integration, chip and wire assembly, hybrid microcircuits, thin and thick film assembly.
• Improve and incorporate package design guidelines for ease of assembly and / or manufacturability, including heterogeneous package technology.
• Evaluate manufacturing processes by applying knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, test, tooling, and materials; conferring with equipment vendors; soliciting observations from operators.
• Develop, build, and refine production / manufacturing engineering processes, partnering with engineering and production teams on product design and tooling to ensure efficient production processes.
• Develop and cultivate relationships with external companies specializing in specific manufacturing techniques to meet challenging performance requirements.
• Work closely with lab and cleanroom engineering technicians in the implementation of manufacturing methods for the development of prototype and pre-production assemblies.
• Participate in company meetings to support company goals, status reporting, and department improvements.

Qualifications

OR (9) years of experience may be considered in lieu of a Bachelors Degree.
