The CNA instructor is responsible for leading and directing students toward their goal of satisfactory completion of the Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) course.

Coordinates and instructs assigned CNA courses at the locations and times designated.
Complete the Master Schedule and submit to state according to regulations.
Make changes as needed to the master schedule and submit it at least 15 days prior to the revision.
Promote the mission, philosophy, instructional goals and objectives of Methodist College
Develops and maintains an environment conducive to effective learning within the limits of resources provided
Prepares for classes and clinical sites assigned
Employs a variety of instructional techniques and instructional media, consistent with the physical resources of the teaching site, and consistent with student needs / capabilities
Encourages students to meet acceptable performance standards as defined in course syllabi and by state guidelines
Takes all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, patients, equipment, materials, and facilities
Evaluates student progress on a continuing basis, reporting in writing at designated times
Works to establish and maintain open lines of communication with students concerning their progress
Maintains accurate and auditable records of student attendance and performance as required by law and school policy
Assist in upholding state and college policies and procedures
Prepares course application forms and maintain student enrollment and test registration records
Establishes and maintains cooperative relationships with college staff and clinical site staff
Performs other tasks assigned by the program coordinator

Compensation and Benefits
The compensation range for this position is $25.6per hour - $42.75per hour. This represents a good faith minimum and maximum range for the role at the time of posting by Carle Health. The actual compensation offered a candidate will be dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's experience, qualifications, location, training, licenses, shifts worked and compensation model.
