Who You Are :

You are a Product Marketing and Strategy Director who combines a passion for leveraging generative AI with a deep sense of purpose in advancing Bonterra's mission. You embrace AI as an essential tool for accelerating research, writing, analysis, and ideation, while also playing a pivotal role in shaping Bonterra's product positioning, packaging, and pricing strategy. You are curious about new AI capabilities, know how to apply them at scale, and are equally energized by transforming fast-moving innovation into clear, compelling stories that advance the social good sector.

What you will do :

Define and own the voice of our products in the market-turning breakneck product innovation into clear, compelling, and value-driven narratives.

Be the source of truth for buyer personas, market sizing, packaging, and pricing.

Engage directly with customers to shape positioning and validate value delivery in real time.

Partner closely with Product to influence how we position, package, and price AI capabilities , including usage-based and outcome-based models.

This role spans both analytical rigor (market sizing, pricing strategy, survey design, COGS analysis) and creative storytelling (crafting provocative messaging, building narratives that resonate, making complexity simple).

Responsibilities :

Craft and continually refine compelling, AI-forward product narratives that set Bonterra apart in the social good market.

Serve as the primary researcher and owner of buyer personas through hands-on interviews, surveys, and fieldwork.

Engage directly with users and customers to test and iterate positioning in real time, ensuring resonance with target audiences.

Be the clear and compelling source of truth for Sales and Marketing , translating rapid innovation into crisp, accessible, and value-driven stories.

Market Definition & Strategy

Own the definition of TAM, SAM, and ICP for Bonterra's offerings, ensuring our strategy is grounded in rigorous analysis.

Translate market and competitive insights into recommendations that shape roadmap priorities and go-to-market plans.

Packaging & Pricing

Partner with Product to design and validate packaging and pricing models for AI-driven capabilities, including :

Usage-based and outcome-based pricing

Product-led growth motions

Willingness-to-pay and Van Westendorp surveys

COGS-driven profitability analysis

Lead cross-functional pricing and packaging reviews to ensure alignment with customer value and business objectives .

Customer & Market Engagement

Build direct relationships with customers and users, ensuring their voice drives how we position and deliver innovation.

Rapidly test, learn, and adapt messaging and go-to-market approaches based on feedback loops.

Represent Bonterra externally as a thought leader on AI's role in social good.

Requirements :

A storyteller and strategist - You can distil complex innovation into clear, differentiated, value-based messaging that excites customers and inspires internal teams.

An analytical thinker - You're fluent in market research, pricing strategy, survey design, and data-driven insights. You enjoy digging deep but always return with crisp, actionable conclusions.

A simplifier - You thrive on making complexity accessible and compelling, not exhaustive or overwhelming.

A visionary - You see the distinct, future-oriented value of a product and champion it with courage, even when it challenges the status quo.

Compensation

The range displayed on this job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and in addition to benefits this role may be eligible for discretionary bonuses / incentives, and equity.

US Base Salary Range : $130,000 - $200,000 DOE

Please note that the compensation range and benefits specified in this job posting is applicable to candidates based in the United States. For international applicants, actual salary offers and benefit plans may vary based on the local market compensation standards and will be determined in accordance with regional considerations, including but not limited to applicable laws, cost of living, and industry norms.
