Associate Creative Director

Location : Downtown Chicago or Lincolnshire 3 days a week, remote 2 days a week

We are seeking a highly skilled Scriptwriter and Content Creator with a strong background in video production, motion graphics, and storytelling . A strong portfolio of work from first hand experience using Adobe After Effects and Premiere Pro is required. This role will be responsible for overseeing the creation of compelling video content for broadcast, digital platforms, and social media , ensuring it aligns with our brand and marketing goals. This role involves working closely with the Creative Director, Project Manager, and Video Editors to produce high-quality, impactful media across various platforms, including YouTube, connected TV, PMAX, and social media.

Key Responsibilities :

Scriptwriting : Write clear, engaging, and creative scripts for broadcast video spots that align with our brand’s voice and objectives.

Creative Direction & Storytelling : Develop engaging scripts, treatments, and storyboards for broadcast commercials, promotional content, and branded storytelling initiatives.

Motion Graphics & Video Production Oversight : Guide the conceptualization and execution of motion graphics, animations, and video edits, ensuring a high production standard.

Editorial & Production Feedback : Provide clear, constructive feedback to Video Editors on pacing, transitions, storytelling, and visual execution to enhance overall content quality.

Collaboration : Partner with the Senior Video Editor, Motion Designers, and Marketing Team to ensure all content aligns with brand strategy and messaging.

Brand Consistency & Quality Control : Maintain visual and narrative cohesion across all 200+ retail locations nationwide through high production values and consistent branding.

Research & Industry Trends : Stay informed on emerging video production trends, motion graphics techniques, and audience engagement strategies to refine creative approaches.

Project Management & Deadlines : Work closely with the Project Manager to scope, schedule, and meet deadlines while maintaining creative integrity. Analytics & Performance Insight : Review and analyze content performance metrics, making data-driven recommendations for improvement.

Qualifications :

Experience : Proven experience in scriptwriting for broadcast and media production, with a strong portfolio of past work for major brands or organizations.

Skills : Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills with the ability to convey complex information in a simple, engaging manner.

Media Production : Experience in video production, including filming, editing, and post-production processes.

Experience with Adobe After Effects and Premier Pro

Creativity : Strong creative vision with the ability to generate innovative ideas and concepts.

Design Fluency : Be able to speak to grids, kerning, leading, easing, color relationships, and styles to effectively communicate how to visually improve work. Technical Knowledge : Familiarity with technical aspects of media production and a basic understanding of outdoor recreational activities, with automotive and RV experience a huge plus.

Social Media Savvy : Proficient in using various social media platforms and creating content tailored to each platform’s audience.

Team Player : Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Time Management : Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Education : Bachelor’s degree in Media Production, Communications, Journalism, or a related field is preferred.

Pay Range :

$89,565.00-$134,295.00 Annual
