Facility : East Cooper Medical Center\nLocation : Mount Pleasant, SC\nDepartment : Obstetrics\nPosition Type : Full time- 36 / hours\nWork Schedule : 3 12 hour shifts- Nights\nWhat We're Looking For :

• Current unrestricted RN license in the State of South Carolina\n
• One year of prior Women's Surgical Services experience preferred\n
• BSN preferred\n
• Successful completion of nursing service orientation program\n
• Attends IV Therapy training and / or demonstrates competency in intravenous therapy within one year\n
• Attends Skills Fair and completes annual hospital competency requirements\n
• Maintains competency and / or certification specific to departmental requirements\n
• BCLS current at hire\n
• NRP certification current or obtained within orientation\n
• STABLE preferred\n
• Advanced certification in specialty and participation in professional organization(s) encouraged\nWhat You'll Do :
• Assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating healthcare needs for assigned patients\n
• Delivering care to a patient population ranging from infants to geriatrics, unless otherwise specified\n
• Collaborating with the healthcare team to support unit and hospital goals\n
• Adhering to established practice standards and clinical guidelines for the assigned area\n
• Flexibility to float to other comparable nursing units as needed\n
• Understands regulatory requirements and professional practice guidelines\n
• Demonstrates competency in department-specific skills and acts as a resource / mentor for others\n
• Engages in leadership activities and team development\n
• Collaborates professionally with other departments to ensure patient-centered care\n
• Exhibits strong skills in communication, conflict resolution, team building, and leadership\n
• Attends ongoing leadership training courses offered by the facility\n
• Educates team members on practice updates, regulatory changes, and organizational standards\n
• Assists in staff performance evaluation and competency checks\n
• Delegates patient care tasks appropriately based on staff experience and skills\n
• Exercises independent judgment and initiative within scope of practice\n
• Uses sound decision-making in high-pressure situations\n
• Maintains professionalism and confidentiality when handling sensitive information\n
• Capable of working irregular schedules, including weekends and holidays\n
