Labor & Delivery RN Job Details Assignment Type : Locum tenens (travel nursing contract) Location : Tucson, Arizona 85712 (Arizona healthcare jobs) Unit : Labor & Delivery (L&D) Duration : 13 weeks (Start : 10 / 6 / 2025 – End : 1 / 5 / 2026) Shift : Night shifts, 3x12-hour (19 : 00 – 07 : 30) Hours per week : 36 Estimated Weekly Pay : $2130 - $2190 Weekend Coverage : Every other weekend (4 weekend shifts per month) Patient Ratio : 1 : 2 Orientation : 36 hours (multiple dates available) Registered Nurse Qualifications Current and valid Arizona RN license (Registered Nurse) Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience Certifications required : ACLS, BLS, NRP AWHONN Advanced or Intermediate Fetal Monitoring (completed within last 2 years) Proficient with Epic electronic charting system Ability to float to other clinical units as needed Community hospital or acute care experience preferred Must be able to work every other weekend Travel nurses only (must live outside 75-mile radius of Tucson, AZ) One supervisory reference required Labor & Delivery Nurse Responsibilities Deliver comprehensive care to laboring mothers and newborns in a 16-bed Labor & Delivery unit Assist with high-risk deliveries, Cesarean sections, and manage antepartum / postpartum complications Monitor fetal heart rate patterns using EFM and IUPC Administer medications and therapies including magnesium sulfate, Pitocin, and insulin drips Provide lactation education and breastfeeding support Conduct newborn assessments and provide couplet care Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (IV, respiratory, pharmacy, social services, etc.) Float to other nursing units as needed based on patient census Maintain accurate and timely documentation using Epic Experience the unique rewards of Arizona nursing jobs while making a difference in Labor & Delivery.
