Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Head Chef at KUT , a coming soon modern steakhouse concept located in Staten Island, NY. The Head Chef will oversee all kitchen operations, including menu development with a focus on premium steaks and seasonal ingredients, food preparation, and staff management. Responsibilities include ensuring the highest quality of dishes, maintaining hygiene and safety standards, managing inventory, and collaborating with the management team to deliver exceptional dining experiences. The Head Chef will also mentor and train kitchen staff, control costs and waste, and innovate recipes and techniques that elevate the steakhouse experience.
Qualifications
Culinary expertise, particularly in premium meats, menu development, and food preparation
Experience in managing kitchen operations and staff in a fine dining or luxury concept
Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene standards
Inventory management and cost control skills
Excellent leadership and mentoring abilities
Ability to innovate and create new recipes and cooking techniques
Outstanding communication and teamwork skills
Passion for the culinary arts and a commitment to excellence
Formal culinary training or relevant degree is a plus
Previous experience in high-end or luxury dining establishments strongly preferred
