Sourcing Manager - HR Services

Expedia has an opportunity for a high energy Sourcing Manager to join our global corporate services procurement team, based in one of our US offices (Austin or Seattle).

This role is responsible for partnering with EG’s People team to deliver talent acquisition and retention solutions, including but not limited to people technology, analytics, benefits, relocation, payroll, consulting, learning & development, employee experiences and inclusion & diversity.

Using your procurement experience, you will develop and establish procurement strategies, proactively improving supplier performance and the commercial landscape.

In addition, you will be expected to deliver effective category strategies, supplier negotiations, sourcing process (such as RFx), savings tracking and contract management.

What you’ll do :

• Act as a trusted adviser, and subject matter expert, leading HR services procurement across all People business functions globally.
• Be a strategic partner to business partners, creating category strategies where appropriate driving business performance in collaboration with Sourcing Operations.
• Lead and own a full range of projects from transactional to complex, within the category, spanning across Expedia. These projects often involve working across multiple business units and stakeholder groups, as well as multiple geographies, to develop one Expedia solution wherever possible.
• Partner with stakeholders to build, moderate to complex service requirements and scope, assist with identifying vendors, manage the entire RFx process, provide vendor evaluation framework and recommendations on vendor selection.
• For individual projects build, communicate, and implement work plans and timelines. Identify the required supporting efforts, dependencies, or barriers, as well as track and report on progress / issues.
• Deliver sustainable value by leading negotiations with vendors on the scope of work, commercials & contract, which will involve working with legal, finance, tax, tech asset management and other internal departments.
• Build and maintain vendor relationships to maximize value and to deliver a best-in-class supply chain solutions across the spend area.
• Support the continuous development and evolution of the HR Procurement Services vendor database, using data to drive efficiencies and effective vendor management.
• Act as the point of contact for critical issues to business partners.

Who you are :

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field; or equivalent related professional experience.
• 7+ years’ experience in Procurement and / or Strategic Sourcing.
• Exceptional knowledge of core procurement and project management fundamentals.
• Great teammate and able to work independently while prioritizing your own time and work.
• Strong communication skills; written, verbal and interpersonal.
• Experienced in working in a global business with multiple brands.
• Experienced in redlining contracts and familiarity with key contract terms is essential.
• A leader in establishing and maintaining business partner relationships, including influencing skills and rising to the challenge when looking after demanding business partners.
• Capable of working with abstract concepts, understanding trends, developing strategies with limited / incomplete data, presenting simply and clearly to others.
• Strong problem-solving, lateral thinking, project management, planning organizational, interpersonal skills and business partner / solutions focused.

The total cash range for this position in Seattle is $110,500.00 to $155,000.00. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $177,000.

Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, available budget, and an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience.
