Job Description and Duties

DSH-Napa is currently accepting applications for a permanent full-time Senior Psychologist Specialist, Neuropsychologist.

This position offers a 50% telework option (i.e., half of your work week can be completed remotely).

Desirable Qualifications for applicants include :

1) Completion of an earned doctorate in clinical psychology or neuropsychology.

2) Completion of two years of formal Neuropsychology training. (i.e., completion of a two-year, post-doctoral fellowship in neuropsychology or a one-year, full time pre-doctoral internship in neuropsychology and a one year post-doctoral internship or fellowship in neuropsychology).

3) Applicants from diverse backgrounds, particularly those who are fluent in and can conduct evaluations in Spanish are strongly encouraged to apply.

Note : It is recommended that the candidate possess a Psychologist license in the State of California. Unlicensed candidate may be appointed but must secure a license within 3 years and may be waived for an additional year but not to exceed 5 years.

Special Request for Work Sample : Please attach a redacted copy of one of your neuropsychological assessment reports along with your application.

Competitive applicants will have experience conducting neuropsychological assessment evaluations with people who are severely mentally ill and being treated in acute inpatient and / or forensic settings.

The ability to conduct culturally informed neuropsychological assessments with traumatized and / or marginalized minority populations and the ability to provide consultative feedback to unit staff is highly desirable.
