What You’ll Be Doing

  • Be a member of the site Rotating Equipment Reliability team acting as an expert regarding the selection, installation, operations and maintenance of gearboxes, compressors, pumps, mechanical seals, turbines, and motors.
  • Work with assigned rotating equipment, ensuring reliability through developing inspection and overhaul plans, and guiding repair methods.
  • Partner with the maintenance and operating teams; perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and create plans to inspect and repair rotating equipment to keep it performing well and reliable for its entire lifespan.
  • Support equipment turnarounds.
  • Assist in spare parts reviews.
  • Recommend projects to enhance overall plant reliability, develop cost justifications, and participate in the initial project designs (FEED), including specification of rotating equipment.
  • Use predictive technology; Conduct analysis of inspection and vibration reports to identify improvement areas, establish safe operating limits, and support for equipment troubleshooting and repairs.
  • Participate in the Process Safety program (PSM); Complete MOC forms and participating in PHAs.

What You’ll Bring to the Job

  • BS degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Experience in a high-risk industry such as electrical power generation, refining, paper manufacturing, petrochemical, or chemical processing.
  • 5+ years of experience with Rotating Equipment trouble shooting, maintenance, and reliable A few years of experience qualifies at the bottom of the salary range plus 15% bonus target.

They have a Subject Matter Expert onsite to learn from. 10+ years relevant experience qualifies closer to the top of the range + 20% bonus target

  • Knowledge of Gearboxes, Compressors, Pumps, Mechanical Seals, turbines, and motors.
  • Best with knowledge API 670 Machinery Protection Systems (Bently Nevada) and experience using portable vibration data collection.
  • Must be authorized to work for any U.S. employer without sponsorship now or in the future.
