Job Details

Responsibilities :

1. Manage full-cycle accounts payable functions including invoice processing, payment processing, and vendor management.

2. Perform daily financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, computing, posting, and recording accounts payable data.

3. Prepare bills, invoices, and bank deposits with adherence to established policies and procedures.

4. Reconcile the accounts payable ledger to ensure that all payments are accounted for and properly posted.

5. Verify discrepancies and resolve clients’ billing issues.

6. Facilitate payment of invoices due by sending bill reminders and contacting clients.

7. Generate financial reports detailing accounts payable status.

8. Collaborate with the accounting team to execute monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial audits.

9. Develop and implement improvements to the accounts payable process.

10. Maintain confidentiality of organizational information.

Qualifications :

1. 2+ years of proven working experience as an Accounts Payable Clerk.

2. Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable principles.

3. Proven ability to calculate, post, and manage accounting figures and financial records.

4. Proficiency in MS Office, particularly in Excel, for producing detailed financial and auditing reports.

5. High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.

6. Excellent data entry skills along with a knack for numbers.

7. Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and proprietary software.

8. High school diploma required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration is preferred.

9. Knowledge of applicable accounts payable / general ledger systems and procedures, financial chart of accounts, and corporate procedures is a plus.

10. Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced and high-volume environment with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness.
