Field Service Technicians provide on-site installation, startup, troubleshooting, repair and maintenance of our pneumatic tube delivery systems.
Technicians deliver outstanding service and support to our customers to keep their systems performing in a critical environment.
This remote position requires regular travel to customer sites.
Essential Responsibilities
- Install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain pneumatic tube delivery systems
- Perform system upgrades
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance to ensure optimal system performance
- Troubleshoot electronic and mechanical issues, order parts for repairs; communicate recommendations to hospital engineers / mechanical staff
- Conduct training of customers and facility maintenance staff
- Complete field service documentation and download system log files in a timely manner
- Provide helpdesk support to customers and other field service technicians
- Frequent travel within and beyond defined territory to support customer needs or assist other service technicians
- Occasionally contribute to special projects including design critique, testing procedures and / or system parameters
- Work as required with minimal supervision in compliance with all safety requirements
Required Skills and Abilities
- Strong interpersonal, communication, organizational and customer service skills
- Associate Degree or Technical Certification (preferred)
- 2+ years field service experience maintaining, repairing and / or installing comparable equipment
- Electronic, electrical and mechanical aptitude including use of hand tools and precision measuring equipment
- Familiar with Windows operating system
- Ability to troubleshoot, modify and repair mechanical, electrical or other equipment
- Ability to climb, twist, kneel, maneuver in small areas, lift up to 50 lbs.
- Flexibility for frequent travel out of state and outside of regular working hours (travel up to 75%)
- Reliable transportation (company vehicle not provided)
