Overview :

DistrictOperations Manager

SPAR is looking for aresults-oriented candidate with excellent interpersonal skills forthe position of District Operations Manager.

District managers areresponsible for managing the daily operations of a district,including budget management, planning the use of materials andhuman resources, customer service, operational efficiency, andsafety programs.

Having experience in big box home improvementretail, constuction, project scheduling, phase plan capability willbe a tremendous benefit as you take on your new role as SPAR’sDistrict Operations Manager.

Your organizational and communicationskills will be an asset as you oversee the budget and cost controlsof each project, hiring, training, and coaching for improvement,requiring bold decision-making and strong leadership skills.

The District Operations Manager role is aprerequisite to the Regional Operations Managerposition.

Responsibilities :

  • Multi-site project supervision managing 4-6teams
  • Staff,create schedule, and oversee allprograms
  • Hire, train, and coach individuals while developingcohesive teams to achieve clientobjectives.
  • Travel to meet with client, and teams, which may varybased on needs anddirectives
  • Ensure execution of work to client expectations andwithin agreed uponbudgets
  • Monitor and control costs for District including payrates, travel costs, and in-storetime
  • Actively participate in continuous improvementsregarding projects such as group / team meetings, group calls,or special initiatives
  • Responsible for continual development and protectionof client accountrelationships
  • May be responsible for developing, facilitation andevaluating time and motionstudies
  • Learnand productively utilize company systems as required (e.g.,reporting)
  • Ensuring operational efficiency in each store on eachproject
  • Ensuring that the stores under their supervisionadhere to company and industryregulations
  • Managing a regional budget and ensuring that eachstore (project) operates within the approvedbudget

Qualifications :

  • Education : Bachelor Degree or equivalent experiencerequired
  • 5+ years in retailmanagement
  • Experience in Big Box Retail or Constructionpreferred
  • Project Scheduling and Phase Plan Capabilityexperience
  • Leadership and decision-makingability
  • Excellent time management, organizational, andtraining skills
  • Excellent written and verbalcommunication
  • Analytical mindset and problem-solvingskills
  • Strongcomputer skills and proficient in MicrosoftOffice
  • Experience with Big Box home improvement reportingprograms
