Oracle Software Development Senior Director - Raleigh, North Carolina

Building off our Cloud momentum, Oracle has formed a new organization - Oracle Health Applications & Infrastructure. This team will focus on product development and product strategy for Oracle Health, while building out a complete platform supporting modernized, automated healthcare.

This is a net new line of business, constructed with an entrepreneurial spirit that promotes an energetic and creative environment.

Oracle Health Applications & Infrastructure is looking for a motivated technology leader (Senior Director) that can inspire teams to deliver and operate best-in-class healthcare solutions.

We’re looking for a Senior Director of Engineering with expertise and passion in solving difficult problems in distributed systems, virtualized infrastructure, and highly available services.

You should be a systems generalist with a strong operational background and a proven ability to identify and prosecute opportunities that deliver customer success.

You should value simplicity and scale, work comfortably in a collaborative, agile environment, and be excited to learn. You will also have experience delivering and operating solutions within a Managed Services environment that manage critical client workloads.

Responsibilities

  • Define technology and operational strategy and supporting roadmaps.
  • Manage the design, development, and operations of the team.
  • Recruit and continue to build out a capable and cohesive engineering team.
  • Drive continuous improvement through the ability to see & understand the current state and future state.
  • Ability to translate and message impactful business stories that drive action.
  • Able to thrive in ambiguous situations, identify / create process, and governance where needed.
  • Own and drive strategies that optimize operational performance.
  • Identify, influence, and support key decision points that optimize customer experience.
  • Partner and maintain key relationships with Operations, Support, Product Management, and Engineering organizations.
  • Develop and monitor metrics to measure key performance indicators and business performance.
  • Partner with teams to develop tools, dashboards & automation to deliver customer-centric innovation safely.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years leading complex technical / engineering programs.
  • 10+ years of relevant work experience in program and project management.
  • Strong technical knowledge, which encompasses understanding data center systems, cloud technologies, and managing engineering resources.
  • Experience leading 24 / 7 operations teams.
  • Strong leadership capabilities and strong interpersonal skills required.
  • Ability to learn quickly and adjust to changing priorities while maintaining a positive, can-do attitude.
  • Ability to apply independent and sound business judgment to solve complex issues.
  • Works independently with minimal supervision required and can lead cross-functional teams to complete projects and major initiatives using judgment, experience, and leadership skills.

Range and benefit information provided in this posting are specific to the stated locations only.

US : Hiring Range : from $142,900 to $338,600 per annum. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.
