We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist (OTR / L) to join our team for the 2024-2025 school year.
This full-time position involves working with students from kindergarten through 12th grade across several schools in Chesterfield, South Carolina.
The selected candidate will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of approximately 30 students by helping them achieve their educational and personal goals.
Position Details :
- Location : Chesterfield, South Carolina (Will travel between a few schools)
- Caseload : K-12th grade, approximately 30 students total
- Term : 2024 - 2025 School Year (190 days total)
- Hours : Full-Time, 37.50 hours per week
- Daily Times : 7 : 45 am - 3 : 30 pm
Responsibilities Include :
- Conducting assessments to determine students' needs and eligibility for occupational therapy services
- Developing and implementing individualized therapy plans to enhance students' abilities to perform school-related activities
- Collaborating with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support students' educational and developmental goals
- Monitoring and documenting students' progress and adjusting treatment plans as necessary
- Providing training and resources to staff and families to support students' needs
Qualifications :
- Valid Occupational Therapist (OTR / L) license in South Carolina
- Experience working with school-aged children is preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Passion for helping students succeed in their educational environment
