No experience is required and flexible full time, part time and per diem schedules are available.

About this Home : Want to learn American Sign Language and like to laugh? We have a great opportunity for you to learn; there is a Deaf individual that lives in Swampscott who would love to teach you ASL.
She lives with another woman, and both of these wonderful ladies would love your support for their personal care needs and assistance in maintaining their daily independence.
They love to bake delicious desserts, and both have a great sense of humor and enjoy spending time doing crafts. They also enjoy activities outside of the home such as going for walks, going to the movies, going down to the beach and especially going for a Dunks run.
They both require staff assistance with their mobility. If you are open to being inclusive this is the place for you!
Job Summary : To provide quality living supports and be responsive to individuals living in residential programs or independently.
Teach, support, and facilitate choices for people in their homes and within their communities.
Major Responsibilities :
- Provide Direct Care and support the clinical and social needs of the individuals receiving services.
- Document accurately and thoroughly including in Inter-Team Communication Logs, Health Records, Daily Data Books and Fire Drill Logs as outlined in Northeast Arc Policy and Procedures
- Facilitate meaningful community experiences for each individual that fosters skill acquisition, relationship building and independence.

- Provide hands-on support at the home, including individualized supports in transferring, bathing and grooming, and following specific dining protocols and treatments.
- Administer medications according to Northeast Arc Policies and Procedures and MAPs Regulations. Support Drs appointments, ER and hospital visits and contact on-call nursing appropriately.
- Maintain a safe work environment by following Universal Precautions, ensuring that emergency exits are clear and accessible at all times and maintaining staffing ratios as outlined in contracts with funding agencies and House Safety Plans.
- Other duties and special projects as assigned
Qualifications :
- Valid driver’s license required for most positions
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds, stand for periods of time, bend, push wheelchairs, provide physical intervention as necessary
Hours : 30 hrs to 43 hrs
Pay : $19.00 / hr.- $20 : 50 / hr.
