What You Will Do :

Raytheon, an RTX business, is looking for a Senior Systems Engineer Product Owner. We have an exciting opportunity to join our world class engineering team.

In this role, you will be responsible for the continued development of an advanced, leading-edge, software system providing excellent technical guidance and team communication.

As the Senior Systems Engineer Product Owner (SE PO) you will function in a technical role in a SAFe Agile development environment and effectively work and communicate with all levels of Program Leadership, Customers, and Engineers on the Program team.

This position is on-site in Richardson, Texas .

  • Collaborate with the Raytheon systems engineering and subcontractor teams to design and develop software.
  • Assist in providing technical direction and clarification to subcontractors during the entire software development lifecyle;

from conceptualization and design to development, testing, deployment, and operations.

  • Perform solution decomposition from customer epics, to capabilities, to features, to stories according to SAFe practices.
  • Apply systems engineering expertise in particular to feature designs to reduce overall risk to the software development lifecyle.
  • Engage with customer user representatives to gather user needs and incorporate into the feature designs.
  • Engage with SMEs from other disciplines to fully understand the solution and document the designs.

Qualifications You Must Have :

Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws / regulations;

or an advanced degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience

Active and transferable TS / SCI U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.

S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance."

  • Experience working in an Agile development team environment with multi-discipline engineers and stake holders, developing system solutions to meet customer requirements, requirements decomposition, and experience with CONOPS development
  • Experience managing or guiding teams addressing solution definition, decomposition, and design
  • Experience performing design with cross-disciplined engineering teams
  • Experience with the software development lifecyle
  • Experience with EVMS basic processes and utilizing software development automation (Build, Deploy, Test)

Qualifications We Prefer :

  • Broad background and experience successfully working with all levels of engineering development in large government software development programs as well as an individual contributor as part of an agile development team
  • Extensive engineering experience working in the full software development lifecycle using Agile methodology that ensures high quality software is built and released to end-users quickly and within cost and schedule parameters
  • Experience using Agile tool sets (JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket, etc.), and evaluation of
  • COTS products
  • Experience with subcontract management processes

The salary range for this role is 77,000 USD - 163,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.

RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education / training, and key skills.
