Position : Senior Business Analyst Agile

Location : Reston Virginia Hybrid

Direct Client Requirement

The Sr. Business Analyst role will lead requirements gathering and product analysis for two mission-critical products in the debt servicing and debt issuance management business technology functions.

This role will serve as the solo Sr. BA on up to two Scrum teams in a mature organization with heavy regulatory, risk management, compliance requirements.

Notes from Manager :

This will be a pure full Agile role. Looking for a seasoned Agile BA.

Waterfall is just a nice to have.

The candidate can be a BA or a Product Owner. However, the role will purely be of a BA.

Must have recent Capital Markets experience dealing with Debt Servicing or Debt Issuing. This experience must be in the recent experience (recent 2-3 years.

Someone from CapitalOne or Wells Fargo will be good.

Must have experience working as a solo BA handling the requirement gathering process.

Must be good at following a firm's governances and policies, and able to fit well into the team and follow templates.

Must have scope management experience.

Must be a self-starter and able to take ownership of projects.

Must have a stable working experience track record, recent 2-3 projects should be 1.6 - 2+ years.

Must be a solid communicator and have excellent writing skills, as they will be writing epics, roadmaps, process flows & user stories.

Will be handling 2-3 projects within the capital markets (debt servicing and debt issuing.)

CSPO certification is a MUST.

IIBA is a nice to have.

Having experience in SAFe and Lean will add a lot of value.

Primary Responsibilities :

Translates customer needs into process flows, prototypes, product backlog, epics, features, and user stories while managing scope and interdependencies between requirements.

Understands the product end-to-end, including how it interacts with other products to be able to identify requirements that connect user experience to product design.

Supports execution of the product lifecycle for capital markets / debt issuance / debt service applications, including user behavior analysis, release planning, roadmap development.

Communicates complex ideas clearly and effectively to serve a diverse group of stakeholders (software developers, test engineers, technology and business SMEs, Product owner, product manager, QA manager, scrum master).

Concurrently supports up to two Scrum teams focused on parallel releases of the product.

Key Qualifications :

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Finance.

At least 10 years of experience as an Agile business analyst, product owner, or product manager.

At least 5 years of experience writing requirements for fintech products in capital markets, debt servicing, debt issuance, credit risk modeling.
